Your Kids Will Not Remember…

Just a reminder to all imperfect moms, including me:

Your kids will not remember the size of your house, they will remember the feeling of home you created within it.

Your kids will not remember their expensive clothes, they will remember the warmth of your hugs.

Your kids will not remember the brand of toys you bought them, they will remember the hours you spent playing together.

Your kids will not remember how clean your house was, they will remember the freedom to be messy and creative.

Your kids will not remember your awards they will remember the kindness and compassion you showed others.

Your kids will not remember your successes, they will remember the values you instilled in them.

Your kids will not remember your perfectly curated life, they will remember the real, messy, and beautiful moments you shared.

Your kids will not remember what others thought of you, they will remember how much you loved and cherished them.

Your kids will not remember the fancy vacations you took them on, they will remember the simple joy of building a fort in the living room.

Your kids will not remember the latest gadgets you gave them, they will remember the stories you read aloud at bedtime.

Your kids will not remember the perfect family photos you staged, they will remember the feeling of being silly and laughing together.

Your kids will not remember what you said you believed in, they will remember what you actually lived by.

Your kids will not remember how busy you were, they will remember how present you were when you were with them.

Your kids will not remember the words “I love you” as much as they will remember the feeling of being truly seen, heard, and understood by you.

Your kids will not remember a perfect childhood, they will remember feeling safe, loved, and accepted for who they are.
